How it works:

• Non-U.S. issued Visa® and MasterCard® credit cards are identified when the card is swiped at the point of purchase.
• Your POS device then obtains the foreign exchange rate and converted currency transaction amount.
• Cardholders are given the option to complete the transaction realtime in their home currency, or in U.S. dollars with the conversion applied later.
• If the cardholder elects dynamic currency conversion, the transaction is completed in the cardholder’s home currency.
• The customer receipt is printed with the transaction amount and foreign exchange rate applied, as well as the original amount in U.S. dollars.
• The transaction amount printed on the receipt is the same as the amount that will be reflected on your customer’s billing statement.
